A Story by The Genesis

    SF Sorrow and Tommy

It’s surprising what the mind remembers, things that happened so long ago…’

We’ve been dying to tell you all about this one for a long time!

Hand Of Glory Records are thrilled to announce the release of

‘A Story by The Genesis’, a previously totally unknown rock opera written in the latter half of 1968 and recorded in January 1969, one month after the release of SF Sorrow and five months prior to the release of Tommy.

Discovered serendipitously via sound clips in listing for an electric piano on eBay, this is just one album of an extraordinary hoard of songs recorded between 1964 and 1974, in various Luton groups featuring pianist and composer Chris Stokes.

Had this been released in its day and not forgotten, it likely would have been issued on ‘Sky Records’, the private pressing label imprint of the studio it was recorded at, a forerunner to the legendary S.R.T, home to Grannie, amongst others!

Pre-order now for release September 19th, we can’t wait for you to hear it
